I could honestly not have been more honored when Julie and Sam, a couple whose wedding I photographed in 2011 (you can see it here), asked me to capture their newborn images for them.
Julie and Sam decided to enjoy one of the only true surprises left in life and waited to find out the sex of the baby. This is always fun for me because my mind unconsciously creates two prop scenarios. I just can’t help it. So finding out which one I get to use is a fun surprise for me too. There sweet baby was a boy, who they named Zachary.
Julie and Sam were so good at following the instructions I send out on how to keep baby sleepy for the session. Sessions for me usually last about three hours, and I want to spend as little time as possible getting baby to sleep and as much of that timeframe as possible taking pictures. He really did a great job EXCEPT that little stinker must have smiled at me ten times when I was posing him and only gave me a half smile when I was actually shooting. Fortunately for him, his adorableness more than makes up for it.
Julie and Sam, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for the honor of capturing these memories for your family.
